The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute found motorists are 10 times more likely to get in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kogan-disalvo.com\/florida-car-accident-lawyer\/\">car accident<\/a> when they are visibly experiencing one of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sadness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emotional agitation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The study observed the behavior of 3,600 drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obviously, <strong>intense emotions themselves can be distracting<\/strong>. But these types of emotions can also cause you to act less rationally and to make poor decisions behind the wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Researchers also looked at crash rates caused by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kogan-disalvo.com\/boca-raton-injury\/car-accident-lawyer\/distracted-driving\/\">distracted driving<\/a>.
